NECA The Lone Ranger 2013

The Lone Ranger was released by Disney in 2013 and starred Armie Hammer in the lead role of The Masked Man and Johnny Depp as his faithful side-kick Tonto, loosely based on the original radio series.

The story centers on Tonto retelling the duos earliest days of fighting crime in the Wild West to a boy who encounters him at a sideshow fair in San Francisco in 1933.

This was the first feature movie reprising the role of the since an earlier movie in 1981 by directorWilliam A. Fraker.

Despite a huge $250-260 million production budget and $150 million marketing budget and receiving two Academy Award nominations it failed to perform well at the box office.

In all honesty, despite being a big fan of the old black and white TV series I've never seen the movie.

The Armie Hamer figure came with a removable hat and his trusty six-shooters, which fitted into holsters at his belt.

Tonto came with a tomahawk and knife as accessories.

NECA released two ¼-scale 18-inch figures of The Lone Ranger and Tonto, and four 7-inch figures in two series.

The first release were a carded Tonto and Lone Ranger with his mask, whereas the second series featured an unmasked Lone Ranger and Tonto with a bird cage over his head.

Although these figures have now been discontinued they are still readily available from several online retailers, eBay etc. at there original prices or less.
